I specialise in providing counselling services for Deaf clients and their families in both English and Auslan.
I hold a graduate degree in Social Work from the University of Sydney. I was previously employed as the School Counsellor for Thomas Pattison School, North Rocks (Royal Institute for Deaf and Blind Children). At the school I worked with signing Deaf children, their families as well as teachers. I spend most of my time now working in private practice, seeing Deaf and Hearing Impaired people.
Growing up a CODA (Child of Deaf Adults) provides me with an in-depth understanding of the lives of Deaf people and their families. I am also a professional NAATI interpreter working with clients in a variety of settings. Furthermore, I provide training in Deafness Awareness to a number of organisations.
My counselling practice includes working with adults and children on a wide variety of issues such as:
·        Anxiety
·        Communication
·        Depression
·        Relationship issues
·        Self-esteem
I provide counselling to individuals, couples and families.
